CO CREATION European Projekt of mobility

SINFONICA aims to facilitate the shift toward innovative, smart mobility concepts in an inclusive and equitable way, through the adoption of an approach that always puts users and their needs at the centre.

SINFONICA – Social Innovation to Foster Inclusive Cooperative and Automated Mobility

The three-year EU project SINFONICA develops innovative strategies to involve passengers and companies in the further development of automated and connected driving. The increasing digitalisation of mobility offers numerous opportunities to better connect the different transport systems in Hamburg – for example buses, on-demand transport and bicycles. This will improve the mobility offer in the long term. Cooperative, networked and automated mobility is an important part of getting citizens from A to B more reliably, safely and comfortably. Further advantages of automated and connected driving are the increase in traffic safety and the reduction of environmentally harmful emissions and disturbing traffic noise.

The EU project SINFONICA will run until 31 August 2025. The project participants come from seven different European countries: Italy, Greece, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain. In addition to Hamburg, the participation procedures will be carried out in three other pilot regions and cities: Trikala (Greece), Noord-Brabant (Netherlands) and West Midland (UK).

SINFONICA is funded by the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon Europe” with around 3.8 million euros, of which Hamburg receives 200,000 euros.
