Our annual meeting took place on Sunday 29 March in Stockholm and was held as a hybrid event. Around 40 Green Seniors from across Sweden had registered to attend in person in Stockholm, and around 30 took part online. MP Jan Riise chaired the meeting. Party Secretary Katrin gave us a pep talk, assuring us that we will do very well in the election. We also held a workshop where participants shared experiences and discussed how to run campaigns in different regions and local authorities. In addition, Jacob Risberg, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, attended the meeting and spoke about the party’s peace and conflict policy. Spokesperson Daniel Helldén concluded the day and spoke about the Green Party’s strategy for winning the election!

But there were also the usual annual meeting proceedings, including the election of spokespersons, the board, auditors and the nomination committee.

Lena Östholm-Munkberg and Lennart Tonell were re-elected as spokespersons.

It was a truly eventful day, and when we broke up to head home, everyone was really excited to get back and get stuck into the election campaign.
