We European Green Seniors note that ‘An Eye for an Eye ‘still exist between peoples and countries
The world burns by the design of a few who claim the right to dominate it—its people, its existence.
And their hunger for power is insatiable. They orchestrate global massacres, flaunt it on social media, and face no consequences. Dehumanization, terror, and destruction have become standard practice.
Ancient doctrines—an eye for an eye, patriotism, religious fervor—have long turned citizens into willing agents of war. Dissenters are imprisoned or executed. Warfare persists without end.
Today this doctrine is creeping back into our world and is being embraced by power seekers. It’s time to ban this doctrine, completely and permanently !
We ,the people, the social movements have the power to stop it. Now !
Therefor we have tools for it. In case of flagrante violence and war crimes on citizens, especially children, the Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions on the Law of War, from 1949, must be applied. That’s wat we claim for the people in Gaza.
