Preparations for Lisbon

Videoconference with Angelika and Eleni from Committee of the Regions

Our new chair team, Gaby and Christa, had a productive discussion with Angelika and Eleni from CoR (Committe of the Regions) about our new project: a joint event with CoR, FYEG (Federation of Young Greens) and EGS (European Green Seniors) during the EGP Congress in Lisbon.

Originally, we European Green Seniors wanted to hold a fringe meeting on the topic „Too young, too old? About nonsensical age limits and ageism in our society“.

Postponed is not cancelled, we will do it later.

This time we will talk about intergenerational cooperation and common interests, using the examples of climate, loneliness and affordable housing. Angelika and Eleni were very open-minded and we believe it will be a good workshop with lots of participation. At the end, we want to display the results of the event at our stands and hope that Cor and Green Seniors will once again stand side by side, as they did in Lyon. So the discussion about how old and young are getting along well can be continued at the stand.
